Also called fitter-assembler or assembly operator, the assembler begins his mission by receiving the elements to be assembled. He identifies them and verifies them. He studies the plan that has been communicated to him and which in many cases is presented in English.
The assembler corrects any defects in the parts, or shapes them so that they better correspond to their end use. He files them, drills them, sands them or bends them according to specifications specific to the company.
